"Charlie Wilson's War"

If anyone out there sees this post, go see "Charlie Wilson's War".

I am no Tom Hanks fan - nor Julia Roberts, for that matter - but this was an excellent film. The history is great, assuming its accurate; some of the dialogs between the characters are hysterical; and the emotion of the plight of the Afghan refugees is powerful.

Go see it...and have a Merry Christmas!

My long absence

Well, I apparently am not good at regularly posting on my blog. I had grand delusions, but I started slacking off. A week turned to a month into two months. Then I had a great job offer and that has taken nearly all of my time since late August.

I am currently teaching middle school social studies, head junior high football coach and assistant athletic director at a suburban private, Christian school. It is a wonderful position and the people are great. It is just extremely time-consuming.

I still have ideas and still need to get to work on my Ph.D. research proposal. So, hopefully there will be more here soon.
